Position Overview Kwaan Bear IT Solutions is looking for a cleared Senior Analyst to join our team in Washington, DC.
Job Responsibilities - The Senior Analyst shall study the technology and digital needs of the public diplomacy workforce; provide technical expertise in the area of digital media use and governance; and work to improve R/PPR’s overall use of digital media and communications technologies.
- Provide knowledge management (KM), technology and software platforms training, and logistics support to OLU and other R/PPR units as required. This may include supporting the maintenance of digital files for the unit and office; providing KM expertise for the office; planning and implementing training for internal technology platforms; supporting logistics for PD convenings and workshops; creating and maintaining unit and office SOPs and knowledge articles as part of the internal PD@State knowledge base website.
- Serve as a general resource for, and providing orientations/briefings and technical assistance to, OLU and other R/PPR end users on technology platforms used within R/PPR and the PD Enterprise writ large.
- Serve as the primary managing editor of the R/PPR GBOAT, under the direction of the OLU Director and the R/PPR EXEC Director of Operations. Publish the GBOAT in coordination with the publisher/editor of PD@State.
- Investigate the impact of new or existing technologies that OLU and/or R/PPR are considering adopting.
- Lead or participate in R/PPR working groups relevant to public diplomacy’s use of technology. In this capacity, and/or at the direction of R/PPR management, the incumbent may draft, review, and or revise policy, regulation, and/or guidance pertaining to OLU or R/PPR’s use of digital productivity and collaboration tools.
Minimum Qualifications - A minimum of three (3) years of related professional work experience.
- Experience with standard software, including Google Workspace, Slack, the complete Microsoft Office Suite, Airtable, Zoom and other virtual conferencing platforms, and an ability to learn and work with other software, as well as database applications.
- In depth knowledge of the Internet, its capabilities, its limitations, and the manner in which information is made available and distributed via the Internet.
- Knowledge and experience in evaluating and interpreting statutory and regulatory requirements and for determining the consistency of policies, standards, directives, interpretations, etc. related to those requirements.
Education - A Bachelor’s Degree is required for this position; Master’s or other advanced degree is preferred.
