Job Posting: Route Sales Representative – Wine & Spirits Wholesale
Location: Connecticut (Fairfield area preferred – territory-based)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Base Salary + Uncapped Commission (OTE $120,000+ for top performers) + Expense Account , Gas, Bonuses, Health Benefits, [available].

We’re looking for a dedicated Route Sales Representative who thrives in a structured, relationship-driven role. You’ll manage a fixed weekly route, visiting the same on-premise (bars, restaurants) and off-premise (retail) accounts consistently to build long-term partnerships and grow sales through education, service, and consistent execution.
What You’ll Do
- Follow a set weekly route schedule, visiting assigned accounts on a recurring basis
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with buyers, bartenders, and managers
- Present and sell our boutique wine and spirits portfolio through tastings, staff trainings, and menu recommendations
- Manage inventory, depletions, and displays during each visit
- Take orders, place displays, and ensure proper product placement
- Educate customers on unique producer stories, pairings, and why our brands deserve space on their shelves
- Work independently with minimal supervision while staying organized and on schedule
- Track performance and report sales activity using our CRM and route software
- Comply fully with Connecticut liquor laws and company policies
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of route sales experience (beer salesman, food service sales, general beverage, routed wine and spirits salesman, or CPG distribution preferred)
- Strong organizational skills and comfort with a structured, predictable schedule
- Valid driver’s license
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own time
- Experience in hospitality or retail wine/spirits is a plus, but not required
- Proven ability to build long-term accounts and grow sales through consistent effort
