Primary English Teacher – British International School – Myanmar – August 2025 Start

SeekTeachers is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Primary English Teacher to join a reputable British international school in Myanmar for August 2025 . 📌 Job Details:

• Position: Primary English Teacher

• Location: Yangon, Myanmar

• Curriculum: UK National Curriculum

• Start Date: August 2025

• Contract Type: Full-time | 2-year renewable

• Salary up to $2,000 USD/month (TAX-FREE, based on qualifications & experience)

🎯 Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education or English (required)

• A UK-recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, B.Ed. )

• Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience

• Experience teaching the UK National Curriculum

• International experience is desirable but not essential

• Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills

• Passionate about fostering a love for reading and writing at an early age

👩‍🏫 Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the UK Primary Curriculum

• Support the development of core literacy skills (phonics, comprehension, creative writing)

• Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment

• Use assessment data to track student progress and differentiate instruction

• Collaborate with colleagues in planning, moderation, and whole-school activities

• Engage with parents and contribute to the wider school community

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:

Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification

Experience:

2 Years

Type of Staff:

Male or Female can apply to this job

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)

Must be a native speaker of English

Newly Qualified Teachers are NOT considered

Prefer candidates with international experience

Open University qualification(s) are NOT accepted

Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted

Additional:

**Experience of teaching in South East Asia or around is beneficial

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:

A salary from 15000 up to 2000  USD (U.S. Dollar)per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE

Housing:

Based on application  fully furnished Housing provided

Medical:

State/Public medical provided

Flights:

Flight(s) provided annual flights are provided for the teacher

Bereavement Leave:

Bereavement leave given

Emergency Evacuation:

Emergency evacuation given

Gratuity Amount:

Gratuity Amount of the end of service bonus pay is 3 weeks per annum completed and paid at the end of the contract is provided

Contract Length:

2 years contract renewable on mutual agreement
