**Paint & Powder Coating Technician** **Location:** Farmington, CT **Schedule:** Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM | Full-Time **Pay Rate:** $20.00/hr **Employment Type:** Long-Term Temp We're hiring a **Paint & Powder Coating Technician** to join the Smart Factory production team in Farmington. You'll perform all powder-coating and paint-prep processes to ensure high-quality finishes on metal parts. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and ideal for someone experienced with metal prep, coating, or general manufacturing work. **What You'll Do** + Load and unload parts onto coating lines. + Prep, tape, plug, and clean parts before painting. + Inspect finished parts and perform touch-up or rework as needed. + Operate forklifts, air tools, grinders, and shop equipment safely. + Deburr and clean sheet metal parts requiring rework. + Support color changeovers and cleaning of coating equipment. + Follow blueprints and specifications in standard and metric units. + Maintain 5S and perform routine preventive maintenance. **What You'll Need** + High School Diploma or GED. + Powder coating or manufacturing experience preferred. + Knowledge of metal prep and powder-painting processes is a plus. + Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 70 lbs. + Familiarity with Microsoft Office, quality checks, or lean techniques is helpful. **Benefits** + Weekly pay through direct deposit + Medical, dental, and vision insurance options + Paid holidays and referral bonuses + Long-term and temp-to-hire opportunities + Stable, full-time schedules across multiple shifts + Supportive onboarding and career guidance from your recruiting team As part of our promise to talent, Kelly supports those who work with us through a variety of benefits, perks, and work-related resources.
