**Job Title:** **Front-End Loader / Industrial Forklift Operator** **Location:** Tipton, IA - Weld Shop **Shift:** Day Shift (6:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday) **Pay:** Up to **$22/hour** **Employment Type:** Full-Time **About the Role** We are seeking a skilled **Front-End Loader and Industrial Forklift Operator** to join our weld shop team in Tipton, IA. This position is responsible for safely loading finished steel-fabricated products onto flatbed trucks for delivery, while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced industrial environmen **Key Responsibilities** + Operate **front-end loaders** and **industrial forklifts** to move and stage heavy steel components. + Load finished steel-fabricated products onto flatbed trucks according to load plans and safety standards. + Inspect equipment daily and perform basic maintenance checks. + Secure loads using appropriate rigging and tie-down methods to prevent damage during transport. + Collaborate with weld shop and shipping teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. + Maintain a clean and organized loading area, adhering to all safety and OSHA regulations. **Requirements** + High School Diploma or GED. + **2+ years of experience** operating heavy equipment (front-end loader and forklift) in an industrial or manufacturing setting. + Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain). + Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varying weather conditions. + Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. + Basic understanding of load balancing and securing heavy materials. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience in steel fabrication or weld shop environments. + Knowledge of DOT load securement requirements. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tipton, IA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
