About the Job

Responsibilities:

  • Complete work for conformity to statutory and company regulations, checks the integrity of equipment used and ensures that all required tests are done prior to turn back equipment or system to operations.
  • Performs activities related to the electrical maintenance, inspection, installation.
  • Repair of cement plant equipment such as motors, remote I/Os, VFDs, PLCs, soft starters, control panels, etc.
  • Maintains appropriate records to make preparation for repairing of the equipment's via work orders and logbook.
  • Repair or replace equipment that has broken or worn out to reduce lost time of production.
  • Troubleshoot and repair of electrical systems throughout the plant.
  • Maintains all tools and equipment that are needed to provide electrical maintenance. 
  • Ensures proper cleaning, adjustment and/or lubrication of electrical motors and components.
  • Suggest better way to improve procedures and methods. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate degree, vocational or technical area is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an industrial electrician. 
  • Cement Plant, mining, and heavy industrial is required.
  • Electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, electrical test equipment- meggar, HART meter, voltage meter, milliamp generator, pressure and temperature calibrator, power distribution.
