Job Summary:
The Executive Director of Operations reports directly to the COO, providing leadership in executing Central City Health’s (CCH) vision and strategy to ensure both immediate and long-term success. In collaboration with senior leadership, the Executive Director works to achieve financial and strategic goals while maintaining CCH’s commitment to an inclusive workplace culture and values.

This role involves providing direct supervision and leadership to various departmental leaders, overseeing operations to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, and productivity. Additionally, the Executive Director collaborates with the senior leadership team to manage relationships with funders, engage external stakeholders, and identify growth opportunities for existing and future programs and contracts. The role also involves representing the agency in community engagement, public relations, policy development, and advocacy efforts to further CCH’s mission and enhance its community presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee strategic design, implementation, management and operational functions.
  • Ensure efficient, aligned service delivery across all departments.
  • Foster a positive, ethical, and service-focused workplace culture.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning and organizational development processes.
  • Informs COO timely and transparently regarding organizational performance.
  • Lead the evaluation & analysis of key data analytics to support decision-making.
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with community stakeholders.
  • Present operational and financial updates to the Board of Directors
  • Analyze financial & performance data to drive cost reduction and revenue growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support agency's mission & strategic objectives.


Education & Experience (required):

  • Master’s degree in business, operations or related field.
  • 6 years experience managing programs, financial, operational, and strategic oversight
  • 5 years' experience leading within a non-profit, public agency
  • Current Michigan Driver’s license.
  • Business mind-focused on developing creative solutions.
  • Experience in partnering with multiple teams and departments.
  • Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives.
  • Versatile abilities and extreme dedication to efficient productivity.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
