About the role

The Insight DBA team operates within Managed Cloud Services and overseas managed database services on a global scale. As a shared model DBA team, we are providing support to 30+ MSP customers.

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) with a strong background in managing and optimizing Oracle database environments. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience in database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and high availability solutions. This role requires a proactive professional who can ensure database reliability, security, and efficiency while supporting mission-critical applications.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator with around 5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle administration and database management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring database performance, security, and availability across multiple environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Oracle databases (10g/11g/12c/19c/23c), including installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.

• Perform core DBA activities such as backup/recovery (RMAN), disaster recovery planning, and troubleshooting database issues.

• Implement and manage high-availability solutions (RAC, ASM, Data Guard) and replication technologies (GoldenGate).

• Optimize database performance through tuning and scripting.

• Ensure database security, capacity planning, and compliance.

• Lead migrations, upgrades, and automation of routine processes.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior DBAs.

• Support critical production systems with 24x7 availability.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

• Strong expertise in Oracle architecture, performance tuning, and security.

• Experience with Exadata and advanced features like TDE, Point-in-Time Restore.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have 

• OCP (Oracle Certified Professional)  certification .

• Should have proficiency in Oracle Server (10g, 11g, 12c , 19 c +.. ) Configuration and Administration.

• Must have experience with Data guard, RMAN , Goldengate, Exadata

• Strong analytical skills for problem-solving database-related issues.

• Knowledge of SQL (Secondary).
