Job Description

Bub and Grandma’s Pizza is seeking experienced AM Prep Cooks to join the opening team at our new restaurant in Highland Park. Applicants should be seasoned professionals with several years of kitchen experience under their belt. 

We run a high-volume, high-energy kitchen where accuracy, organization, and clear communication are key. Applicants should be skilled communicators, organized, empathetic, driven and kind. They should be comfortable working collaboratively with managers, leads and fellow employees. Prep Cooks will report directly to the Head Chef.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare all food, savory and pastry, in a timely manner according to standardized recipes and portion specifications
• Practice safe food handling, storage, and rotation using proper food handling protocols
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station 
• Demonstrate safe and proper use of all kitchen equipment
• Perform with flexibility to meet the needs of the restaurant

REQUIREMENTS

• Part-time (2-4 days/week, ~8 hours/day) availability, including weekends - potential to move to full-time
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Food Handler Certificate 
• Comfortable on your feet for long hours and able to lift up to 50 lbs
